I was recently having a conversation with my mother and she was telling me how someone she worked with commented that they were gonna go natural because "I don't wanna do my hair." Then today Dee and I had the same conversation after walking and observing a woman that seem to have the same philosophy.
Okay, I can't take it! This seems to more and more common. I have seen several women (and some men) that seem to have just rolled out of bed! If anything, natural hair may require more work, depending on how it is styled. Now I know some ladies rock fierce 'fros. Not a prob. If you talk to them, they still take care of their hair. These women don't just get up and go. There is care, time and love that goes in to having an awesome 'fro!
Whether you wear natural or relaxed hair, straight or curly; nice, healthy hair requires maintenance. Healthy hair, like a healthy body means doing something. Just existing does not cut it!
Somehow along the way, in some people's minds, 'natural hair' equals no work or easy. Natural hair is definitely not for everyone. If someone doesn't like taking care of their hair with a relaxer, natural hair is probably not for you. If you don't want to pay someone to do your natural hair, probably not for you. If you don't like doing your own hair, period, natural hair is probably not for you. If you wanna just roll out of bed, natural hair is probably not for you!!!!
Bottom line, natural hair is NOT for everyone!

Braid Out
So after I did my deep condish with the Anita Grant cubes, my hair was very soft. But the weather this past week has been so hot and with so much hair it was just to much for me to handle, so I have kept my hair braided up all week. I flat-twisted the front because it is too difficult for me to keep brushing hair out of my face when working. I braided the back and just pulled everything into a bun.
I realized this was a great protective style and I can keep my hands out of my hair! The weekend came and I wanted to wash my hair but had errands to run, so I took my hair down. It was beautiful! Don't get me wrong, I always love my hair but it was so soft. I couldn't believe how nice my hair felt. I really like the results of the deep condish. I definitely will keep using the Anita Grant.
